I'm Hungry...

Dear Diary...They need to feed me ...NOW !!!...I'm hungry...real hungry...For awhile I was getting bigger portions...yeah...I know it was because Debbie felt sad for me and guilty...I got extra special treatment around here while I was sick...(I hate taking pills but that also means extra food to go along with the pills...peanut butter...ummmmmm...)...now that I'm all better they have this crazy idea that I'm going to go along with the old diet again...NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT !!!...I'm hungry...I can bark all day...I'm hungry...Go ahead ...don't make eye contact with me...I know that dog trainers will tell humans that little trick ...but WonderDogs know that eventually you have to look at me...I'm hungry...Hide in the bathroom...You'll come out of there after awhile...because you're going to get hungry too and unless you plan on eating Maggie's food you're coming out of there...I'm hungry...Give me that fancy new toy bone...I know that I can't eat that...I chewed on that for most of a day and didn't make a dent in it...(that made me a little angry ...just so ya know...)...I'm hungry...very, very hungry...Not feeling so loved today...Lucey... P S ...I deserve more food...think of the extra calories I've used with all the constant barking...:)...I'm hungry...

Where Is Insane...???

Dear Diary...Just where is "insane" ???...Debbie said that I'm driving her there...that's strange...I love to go for rides in the truck and lately I've been riding in the car too...( something that I was told would not happen ...this follows the same rule that I wouldn't be allowed on the couch either and we all know who won that battle... )...but during all the rides I've taken not once have I been allowed to drive... oh I've been behind the wheel but I was told I had to move and stay in my seat...so just how will I be driving her to "insane" and how do we get there ?...Frankly I don't think I'm built to be a good driver ... just being able to put my head out the window and having the wind in my fur is enough for me...if someone else is willing to drive I'm more than happy to go to "insane" with them...so...until Debbie figures out how to get there I guess I'll just continue to trashcan dive and bark for more food...Puzzled but feeling the love as always...Lucey the WonderDog...P S...Say...I bet Maggie the cat would like to go with us...the next time I corner her in the bathroom I'll ask her...that should be fun !

It Wasn't My Fault ...

Dear Diary...It wasn't my fault...the trash should have been taken out...the container should have been emptied before you threw it away...no one will admit to being the guilty party so guess who got in trouble ???...yeah...ME ...I saw an opportunity and took it...can you really blame me ???...I got dessert after my meal and that's something that never happens around here since the start of my diet...not only is there trouble because I took it ...I got in even more trouble for defending my right to keep it...( growling at Ashley and Grandpa are not acceptable in this household...)  It was worth it though...SOUR CREAM...yummmm...I love it !!!...Debbie was sure I would get a tummy ache from it but I didn't...there wasn't that much in the carton...:(...and even if I had it would have been ok with me...I did learn something from this though...I need to stop falling for the "food is being put in my bowl" trick...every time I go to check on it I come back to find that the forbidden stuff is gone...:/...Sending love to my readers a  smarter and "sour cream addicted" dog...Lucey

....the further adventures of "Lucey....the Wonder Dog".....last night while on her walk Lucey was sniffing around a tree and got burrs....in...her...eye.... ! By early this morning she had a red swollen burr covered eye and didn't look so good..... the vet fixed the problem and all is well now.....  ... AND she has lost 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks ...

....ok...for those of you following the adventures of Lucey the Wonder Dog....there's a new chapter...so we discovered that she is a great mouser and had one cornered in my utility room a couple of days ago....this mouse stood ZERO chance of survival.....anyway.....me being me and hating mice and fearing them left the remaining traps out just in case there were more....tonight Lucey got into one of the sticky traps and now the fur on her long floppy ears and all around her mouth is a matted sticky mess......looks like i will will be finding a groomer tomorrow....I tried a bath but that didn't work.....squeaky clean otherwise tho.

..the continuing saga of Lucey the Wonder Dog....so my last report was about her getting sticky mouse traps stuck to her and me being unable to get them off....we had to call the vet because i was pretty sure she would need to be sedated before they could do anything with her...well I was correct so on Tuesday I took her to the dr for her "procedure".....(only after she at one point had her paw stuck to her ear) anyway.....they had to shave her mouth, cheeks, beard, whiskers and alot of her neck ...between all of her toes and a few streaks on her body.....now ....for the delicate part...we didn't know it but she also had the entire contents of one of the sticky traps stuck fast between her back legs....so she had to have her little hoohaw shaved too...this dog is sporting the best doggie bikini cut in town... !!!

What A Week !!!

Dear Diary...It's been an interesting week here at the Tope household...so much has happened to me this week I hardly know where to start...First...they ran out of my diet food ...(more like no one wanted to drive in the crazy weather to get it)...so I got to eat some of the good old stuff that I used to get but that also brought along tummy trouble that I don't care to discuss...(I'm all better now)...Later in the week I discovered that I can outsmart Maggie the Cat on occasion...she came downstairs to eat her dinner...I know her schedule and was waiting on her...she walked right past me and checked to see if I was near her food...was I ???...No...but I was right behind her...Readers... are you aware that a cat can run forward with all four feet off of the floor ?!?...Oh yeah...they can ...I witnessed it...Then that thunderstorm day came...I haven't really recovered from that yet...(well...actually it DID help with my tummy trouble...if you catch the meaning here)...Debbie just took my Thundershirt off today...But tonight all is well here ...in fact the house has been filled with laughing and giggling...it has something to do with tattoos and Sharpies...seems tattoos are something that needs to be looked at from "all angles" and a lot of thought needs to be put into them...I don't really get it but Ashley and Debbie sure are having fun...I hope all of you have a great weekend...Love...Lucey the WonderDog...P S ...I'm supposed to let all of you know that no one really got a tatoo ...LOL !!!...at least not anymore...

Dear Diary...I'm Scared !!!

Dear Diary...I'm scared ...it's thundering and I don't like that...It's been a long time since I heard it  and I thought maybe it had gone away and would never come back ...but it did...:(...I can't figure out where it comes from...I've looked ...but I don't see it...I try to go upstairs when I hear it but that always gets me in trouble...I'm not allowed up there...(that stupid cat can though...:/...it's just not right...)...So Debbie put my Thundershsirt on me...it helps a little bit but it's not as good as a hug...I've had my shirt for a couple of years but it didn't fit very well...now that I'm trimmer it fits great...I think this is going to be a long day...:(...Debbie had to leave for awhile but she promised to come back soon...she left the kitchen light on and the TV too...just for me...I went along with that idea but does she really think I believe the humans in the TV will protect me ???...I know better than that...sigh...she tries...:)...Looks like I'm going to have a day of being "underfoot" and tripped over...but I was told that for TODAY that would be OK...Until next time...please send some love my way...please...Lucey ...PS...I bet if I used the"puppy eye' look I could get on the couch ...

I Can't Find My "Spot" !!!

Dear Diary...I noticed today that everyone is so happy about the temperature outside being warmer... the snow is melting !!!...Now I love snow..really...it's so much fun to play in...but like all of you I've had ENOUGH !!!...I've been looking forward to warmer weather for a very special reason...just maybe now I'll be able to find my "spot"...you know...the spot I go in...it's been gone for a real long time and it's starting to get to be a major problem around here...with all the snow all the good places got buried real fast...my favorite spot is under at least 7 feet of snow now...I'll be lucky if I can use it before July at this rate... there's a great spot in the back yard ... Debbie shoveled to try to get to it but she didn't quite get it just right...:(...I don't want to hurt her feelings but...it's a "no go" area for me...They don't understand...I can't just go anywhere..AND don't try to pick out a spot for me !!!..Give that some thought...would you want someone to tell you exactly when and "where" you had to go ?...I NEED MY SPOT !!!...this settling for another place is just not acceptable anymore...and I hear the grumbling about shoveling up after me...it's no picnic for a WonderDog either ...so...I'm looking forward to lots of melting and less snow...maybe some mud to roll in ...ewwww...Debbie isn't going to like that ...:)...Love...Lucey the "Ready for Spring" WonderDog

I'm Starting A Blog !!!

Dear Diary...So today I'm helping Debbie start something called a "blog"...she doesn't know very much about this stuff so this should be real interesting...Ashley is helping too ...(Thank Goodness !)... She said that maybe I could get more humans to read about my adventures this way and I could make even more friends...I would like that !!!...So...If she can figure it out she will re-post a lot of my earlier adventures for everyone to read !...there have been some real "doozies " to tell... like the time I was accused of eating Ashley's fish and did you know that more than one emergency call has been made to my vet ???...sad but true...my nickname isn't the WonderDog for nothing ya know...Oh...and how could I forget the time they thought I had killed  Maggie the cat ?!?!?..(.I'll give you one guess as to who really got hurt in that story !)...Until next time...lots of love as always...Lucey the WonderDog...P S...Please share and tell all your friends about me !!!  <3
